On Sunday, March 1, 2026, 11 students, coached by Mike LaLonde and Scott Bayha, competed in the Academic Decathlon at Bryant University. The Academic Decathlon is a day long statewide competition which consists of extremely challenging tests in Art, Economics, Essay, Interview, Literature, Math, Music, Science, Social Science, and Speech. The team finished a strong 7th overall out of 17 teams and earned 3rd place in the Super Quiz competition, a quiz bowl–style event held in front of an audience. Congratulations to the following students: Victoria Hawkins, Marcella Lebron, Lex Landry, Emma Deus, Jacoby Schmidt, Liliana Daigneault, Tiffany Blanco, Maizie McKeever, Amber Cardoso, Jocelyn Dilone, and Carly Pettinicchio. We are extremely proud of you!

Last week we had 35 students compete in a Pilgrim based Science and Engineering Fair. They each did an independent research project and presented their findings to the judges. Five students will be representing Pilgrim at the RI state competition: Mina Aqaie, Brayden Cornish, Olivia Fargnoli, Olivia Gaspar, Mya Silva

Mid-Year Exams 2025-2026
Mid Year exams start on Friday (January 16). Every course has an exam with the exception of Resource.
See image for exact times.
Bus Schedules during Exams: The morning bus pick-up times will continue unchanged. Buses will depart school at 12:00 pm on Jan 16-22.
Attendance for Exams: All students are expected to be in the respective exam blocks each day. All absences must be communicated to the Attendance Office by the day/time of the exam block. Late arrivals to any exam may require a student to report to the make-up exam block. Make up of exams for unexcused absences will require approval by administration. We will not dismiss students from an exam until the exam period has ended. (Please do not call to dismiss your students when you receive a text saying they are done. We really want to preserve a quiet testing atmosphere and phone calls into classrooms can be stressful for other students - thank you.)
School Meals during Exams: School breakfast will be unchanged and available prior to school. School lunches will be served from 11:35-11:55 am each day during exams.

Over the past 2 days, we held an elective fair for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students to see all the great classes we have to offer. They were able to talk to teachers and current students of the classes, read posters boards, and see exanples of work done in the classes. They can now use this information to help them next week when they choose classes for next year.

Today, December 9, 2025, Wave Credit Union held a financial literacy fair for the students at Pilgrim taking financial literacy class. Many important people came to support this event: Mayor Frank Picozzi, Superintendent William McCaffrey, School Committee Member David Testa, Senator Mark McKenney, and Ranika Reyes from the General Treasurer's Office . Of course, we could not have done this without our very own Principal Gibbons, Vice Principal Dr. Guerra, and business teachers Mr. Dussualt and Ms. Rafferty. It is always a great learning experience for the students!
