Pilgrim High Schools' Dr. Michael Xiarhos was named Warwick's Teacher of the Year and was honored in the Pilgrim auditorium, with his family by his side, by Superintendent William McCaffrey, Executive Director of Secondary Education Tim Kane, Principal Toby Gibbons, School Committee Chairperson Shaun Galligan, and colleagues.
Gibbons praised Xiarhos and was thrilled that he was honored. "I always state how amazing my entire staff, but when one of them gets acknowledged like this, I am so happy for them and their family. It was great to have his family with him here today. Mike is a teacher to whom students flock. He is approachable and honest."
