Pilgrim freshman Anthony Angevine won the Rhode Island freshman state championship with a hammer throw of 163-feet, 1 inch. That throw made him not only the top freshman thrower in Rhode Island, but also in the United State.
Angevine and fellow freshman Parker Silvia also qualified as Rhode Island freshmen finalists in the shot put and discus.
Stephen Hawes delivered the top running performance among Pilgrim freshmen in the 3,000 meter.
