The following information has been shared with students:

  1. If a student is absent the day of a mid-year assessment, a parent or guardian must call the school.  If an absence is not accounted for, the student will not be able to make-up the assessment.

  2. The first assessment begins at 7:30 am each day.  Students must be in their assessment room by 7:25 am.  Students who arrive after 7:30 am must report to their Assistant Principal.  No student will be admitted to the assessment after the first ten minutes of the start time and will have to schedule a make-up assessment with the Department Chair.

  3. If a student does not have a first assessment of the day, he/she may arrive at 9:30 for the second assessment of the day.  Buses will only run on the normal morning schedule.  Students who do not have a first assessment may quietly stay in the cafeteria until 9:40.

  4. Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria from 7:00 to 7:20 am during assessment days.

  5. Assessment days are considered regular school days.  The dress code is still in place as are all the other rules dealing with student behavior including: “no electronic devices, headphones, cell phones or pajamas.”

  6. Students are expected to bring the necessary materials to their assessments; pencils, pens, calculators, etc.  Students are required to stay in their room for the entire two hour period.  They will not be dismissed early.

  7. Students will not be dismissed to the lavatory or nurse unless it is an emergency.

  8. A limited option of hot lunch will be provided for those who wish to eat lunch, these must be consumed in the cafe from 11:35 to 11:50.  Buses will arrive at 11:50 am.  Please check the number on the side of the bus as they are not our usual buses.  A list of bus stops will be emailed to all students each day of the assessments.  They will also be posted in front of the main office.  All students should be leaving the building at the end of their second assessment each day.
