On Tuesday, May 21st, the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz graced the stage of Pilgrim. It was a group of six student musicians, Don Braden (professional Jazz musician) and Lisa Henry (professional vocalist). The assembly was amazing! After the assembly, the musicians held workshops for our band and chorus students. What a great opportunity for our students!

Shout out to the Pilgrim PTSA for the wonderful breakfast they provided this morning for Teacher Appreciation week.
Thank you!!!!

Yesterday, the Biology 2 Honors students did a great job with their cleanup of Posnegansett Pond that runs along Warwick Avenue. They took out 8 bags of trash from along the fence line and all the way into the pond. The students hope to go back before the end of the school year to work on the other side of the pond. We are proud of our Patriots!

Today, March 27, 2024, Wave Credit Union held a financial literacy fair for the students at Pilgrim taking financial literacy class. Many important people came to support this event: Lt Governor Sabina Matos, Secretary of State Gregg Amore, General Treasurer James Diossa, Mayor Frank Picozzi, Assistant Superintendent William McCaffrey, School Committee Chair Shaun Galligan, and School Committee Member David Testa. Of course, we could not have done this without our very own Principal Gibbons, Vice Principal Dr. Guerra, and business teacher Ms. Rafferty. It was such a great learning experience for the students that we cannot wait to do it again next year!

Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green and the Rhode Island Department of Education are pleased to announce that Hannah Smith, a student at Warwick’s Pilgrim High School, and Victoria Spradlin, a student at the Wheeler School, have been chosen as the two state delegates to attend the National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp) in 2024. Congratulations Hannah!!!!

Take a look at some of the work being done by our art students. This was a large scale food sculpture project using plaster, cardboard, newspaper, and paint.
